As a project at Hyper Island, we made a concept shoe for WeSC that would let you check in and connect with your social accounts just by stepping on a branded map thanks to the use of a RFID tag built into the shoe.

In 2011 when we did this project, the idea of connected shoes was pretty radical. So we got a lot of press from all over the world to cover it. We even had a French TV channel do a whole segment about it.
